We've seen the great and good owning Frankel offspring. We have only to look at the horse trainers who have a Frankel two-year-old (2yo) in their mitts. I couldn't be more pleased to see Ilka Gansera-Leveque has a bay colt called Amtiyaz stabled at Saint Wendreds in Newmarket, Suffolk. I'm sure this son of Frankel resides in a box with a golden door, a perfectly luxurious home padded, if not plumped, with cotton wool. He is fed parma violets giving him not only the sweetest, freshest breath but a bright mauve tongue to blow raspberries at passing visitors who dare to mention the f-word (Frankel, if your mind wandered to the word F...rankfurter).
You can tell I love my purple prose.
Who wouldn't want to paint a dreamy world for this exciting sire's progeny?
Everything we say and do is written With Reason. Which, aptly, is the name of a Frankel-sire filly in the ownership of Mr & Mrs G Middlebrook, in training with William Haggas. We detailed a while back that the Newmarket maestro (not sure why we used an Italian word for such a very English man) has at least five Frankel two-year-olds in training at Somerville Lodge.

With Reason is a Frankel-sired filly, March foal, out of the dam Eminently, who is similarly owned by the Middlebrooks, in training back in 2012, trained by Richard Hannon. She raced just four times over six furlongs, winning on her second start in the mud at Haydock, finishing unplaced at Listed class next start, achieving an official rating of just 71.
Exciting times at many stables with these hypnotic equine beasts which fly up the gallops and bewitch those who play with words.
Good luck to all who train a Frankel two-year-old in 2019.
