Frankel Watch: Sir Michael Stoute Unveiled Prized Frankel (2yo) Highest Ground

Frankel offspring aways make waves when it comes to debut. The chance we could witness a supreme effort, a class horse in the making, perhaps a horse of the highest order.

Leicester proved the place to enjoy a sparkling debut from Sir Michael Stoute's debutant Highest Ground, who won the British Stallions EBF Kegworth Novice Stakes (Plus 10) over 7f.

This daughter of Frankel out of a the Frech-winning mare Celestial Moon ran on well to win by almost three lengths.

Readers may remember Stoute has at least 10 Frankel two-year-olds this season and most have run creditably if not winning in style.

Highest Ground races in the familiar silks of the Niarchos Family, a homebred, who is likely to be racing at Group class before too long.

It was a very pleasing effort, beating Macho Boy, in the capable hands of Ryan Moore.
