Anyway, there may be plenty of owners, trainers and breeders keeping you informed of all the latest Frankel news but Frankel Blog likes to tell you a story.
That brings us to another thoroughbred horse trainer who is most definitely on the up.
Tom Clover is a relatively new trainer on the block. I'm pretty sure I noticed his two-year-old crop spring into action back in 2017. Declarationoflove sticks in the mind when running out a nice winner at Windsor and thereafter, just about, campaigned at pattern class. This son of Declaration Of War did his owners [Ian Barratt, Stephen Short & Adam Signy] proud when runner-up in the Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes and put £52,275 in their pockets. Not bad for a 15,000GNS breeze-up buy. Declarationoflove ran eight times in his two-year-old career.
Kremlin House Stables, Fordham Road, Newmarket will be looking forward to this new Flat season because, among other talents, they have a Frankel two-year-old in the ranks. I keep saying this, but I'm sure any trainer must have a smile on their face when an owner or breeder gets on the dog and bone [phone] and they say these inimitable words: ''We are sending you a Frankel.''
You know what the trainer says when they put the phone down: ''YES!!!!!''
Well, they might say just that.
Anyway you know who was chatting on the phone to Tom Clover of late?
Lady Bamford. Because she is sending a Frankel two-year-old to Kremlin House Stables.
I say those words with tongue in cheek because The Guvnor is owned by The Rogues Gallery Syndicate, and I'm not sure if her ladyship is part of the crew. The Rogues Gallery Racing is run by Tony Elliott who has been associated with quality horses such as Farquar, Maxentius to name a few. Unlike many, they are a non-profit making syndicate and is done purely for the love of racing.
Other horses include Medalla De Oro, Holy Kingdom, Crimewave, Eaglesglen, Machine Gun, Rogues Assassin, Rogue Power & Sugauli.

The Guvnor.
I'm not sure if Lady Bamford was a fan of the late Lenny McLean, who sadly departed in 1998. But the hard man was a mighty fellow. If this bay colt has the battling attitude of the ''king of the cobbles'' he will be a handful. Hopefully he can win on debut with a double handful.
The Guvnor (pictured) is a bay colt, born on the 14th of May 2018, out of the mare Eva's Request. This mare [15-years old at the time of writing] was originally trained by Mick Channon in the ownership of L Mulryan.
Eva's Request was a pretty smart filly. She started her career in 2007. A fair winner on her second start at Kempton, and concluded that formative season with a victory at the Curragh in the Park Stakes (Group 3) in the capable hands of Mick Kinane.
Another couple of classy victories come at four with a Listed race success at Goodwood and Group 3 at Epsom. Later in the year, at Veliefendi, Turkey, she won a Group 2 contest by one length and win prize money of £173,611.
There was more to come, with a Group 1 success at Capanelle, Italy to put an additional £167,374 in the pot.
Eva's Request had an official rating of 109, winning seven of her twenty-six starts and gaining total prize eaning of £516,445.
She concluded her racing career at Kyoto, Japan when finishing down the field (but not beaten far) in the Mile Championship (Grade 1).
A durable and hearty horse who raced predominantly over one mile.
Good luck to The Guvnor and connections.
