Could We See the First Frankel Sired 2YO for 2021 Season?
Ascot here we come!
We can only cross our fingers and hope.
I don't know about you, but I've been checking the Flat racing entries and hoping to see the first Frankel two-year-old of this year's crop. Nothing to note in March or April. Lots of three year olds including two starts in Snow Lantern and John Leeper who are sure to continue in great form and race at pattern class.
But no two-year-olds.
However, checking the entries today, I see that Charlie Appleby has Wild Beauty entered to run at Ascot on the 7th May. Only time will tell. At this time, sixteen runners are entered for the 5f British Stallions Stud EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes (Class 4).
This daughter of Frankel is out of a twice-winning French-raced mare, Tulips, who won at Listed class and contested Group 1, when finishing a creditable fourth. This home bred for Godolphin hails from a stable that does particularly well with its two-year-old debutantes racing in the month May.
Wild Beauty a March foal, could shortly be making her appearance and may well be heading to Royal Ascot if winning on debut.

Good luck to connections.
